Being a great Leader

"Only be strong and very courage's, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you: do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and the you will have good success".   -----Joshua 1:7-8.

"The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. the last is to say thank you. In between the two, the leader must become a servant and a debtor. that sums up the progress of an artful leaders." Those two words, servant and debtor, describe david's view of himself as he asked God for help in a leadership his time of leadership.

All of us who are in a leadership position-whether leading a family, a church, a clasroom or a business---need the humble words of Psalm 86 as our guide. The "poor and the needy"(v.1) servant leader who trust God is the one who in the end, can say as DAvid did."You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me"(v.17)

....controlling other people's lives is not Godly leader's trait; but serving other people's needs is what the Lord considers great.

....The only leaders qualified to lead are those who have learned to serve.

"Happiness"

Are you happy with your life? Are you happy with yourself? Are you happy with your job? Are you happy with your Girl friend/Boy friend/spouse? Are you happy with your Ministry/church? Are you happy at all? if, you ask me about all that's question my answer is  a BIG YES!100% happy in everything that God has given me. hope you too also...pls read these passages...

Happiness is something we feel on the outside and is very much determined by the circumstances and situations we find ourselves in. If we were given a hundred dollar bill, that would make us happy. But, if someone stole that hundred dollar bill, we would lose our happiness.

Because happiness is determined by what is going on around us and to us, it is very easy to be happy one minute and very unhappy the next. Although God does want to see us happy (blessed), He is aware of the fact that our happiness may be fleeting and replaced with sadness or anger at the drop of a hat. That is why when it comes to the deeper spiritual realities, JOY is preferred for it is an “inside job”.

The song many of us know goes; “I’ve got that joy, joy, joy, joy joy down in my heart (where), down in my heart (where) down in my heart…” At least that is how I learned the song anyway. It doesn’t say anything about the “happiness down in my heart” for that is not available. Only joy can be found in our hearts and only God can put it there.

The scripture says; “The joy of the Lord is my strength” because God places joy in our hearts when we do His will. When we do as He asks of us, we receive the fruit of the spirit and fruits of righteousness; both of which include JOY. Just as peace, love, patience and all the other fruit of the spirit are not outside blessings, so JOY is not either. JOY is found in the depths of our hearts when we please God. It is, in a way, His way of blessing us for blessing Him.

As God’s children, we should strive to bring joy to our Father’s heart by obeying His commands and doing as He says. When we do this, we are children in whom God is well pleased. We bring a smile go our Heavenly Father’s heart. When we so bless our God, we are blessed with love, joy peace, etc. in our hearts. God puts these fruits in our hearts, not us.

The truth of the matter is this; God never promised we would be happy all of the time in this life. God has promised to bless us and we do have periods of happiness at times when the circumstances allow. But, when it comes to JOY, it is available to have joy no matter what is going on around you for it is not attained through outward success but rather through obedience to God’s Word.

While Jesus was hanging upon the cross, dying the most horrible death any human ever had to endure; the Bible says in Hebrews 12:1, 2:

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Even while suffering the worst pain and agony any man has ever endured, Jesus had joy in His heart due to what was coming. He knew that the afflictions he was suffering were not worthy to be compared with the glory which awaited Him if He remained obedient unto death, even the death on the cross. By doing God’s will, Jesus was blessed with joy in His heart even during the darkest hour of His life.

Happiness is simply the icing on the cake of JOY. What is important is that we have the JOY of the Lord in our hearts and that comes through remaining faithful to His Word and looking unto Him no matter what is going on around or to us. I pray that your heart is filled with JOY this weekend and until the great and glorious Day of His return.

He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children—as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let's get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father."

    33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and slept with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

    34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I slept with my father. Let's get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him so we can preserve our family line through our father." 35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

    36 So both of Lot's daughters became pregnant by their father. 37 The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab [g]; he is the father of the Moabites of today. 38 The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi [h]; he is the father of the Ammonites [i] of today.

"WHO IS THE GREAT GOD IN OUR LIFE"

When the world looks at me, who do they see? Do they see me or do they see Christ?
Who should they see?

I have to admit that far too often they see me.

I can make all sorts of excuses. I can say “Well, I’m only human. You can’t expect me to be perfect.” That is true but exactly who is supposed to be alive within me, myself or Christ?

If I try to live my way, if I try to be in control of what I do, all anyone is going to see is me. I must walk as Jesus walks and live as Jesus lives. Is that hard? Absolutely for it requires me to die to myself. Will I still face temptation? Of course! As long as I live in this world I will face temptation. However, just because we face it does not mean we have to yield to it.
If Christ dwells within me, sin does not have dominion over me!
